皆さん、こんにちは！　「L-One　STAR☆」（仮称）　のコーナー担当、アドバイザーのNAOMIです（＾＾）

このコーナーでは、我が栄校で、キラリ☆と光る活躍を見せて下さったメンバーを随時ご紹介して参ります。（皆さんのところにも取材班が伺うことがあるでしょう！！！その時は包み隠さず洗いざらい語ってくださいね）

今日ご紹介するのは、TOEICを495点UPさせたNAOKOさん　です 。いつも笑顔で楽しそうに来校。就活で苦しい時期も足を止めずに頑張り抜かれた姿にスタッフの方が元気をもらっていました！

…さあ、そんなNAOKOさんのレベルupの秘訣は「英語を楽しむこと」だそう。

First of all, I would like to say that I did not use to like English. Actually, I barely passed each English exam when I was in high school. I chose to major in Japanese literature at University because it did not require English. I don’t know why I chose to start studying it again here at L-One but it has become one of my hobbies.

    As I mentioned, I did not really like English, so my first TOEIC score was250which was a couple of years ago. Now, my best score is745. I used to study hard with a textbook, but it’s not really effective for me because “study” is quite boring. Therefore I changed how I study and started to listen to music and watch movies or DVDs with subtitles. Then I picked up some words and phrases and used an English-English dictionary when I found difficult words. I think this method of study is effective for me, especially for improving my listening skills.

     Also, studying English at L-One is really good for me. Whenever I come to L-One, I learn lots of new things, like new vocabulary and some grammatical things. Talking with the staff is good as well. They always cheer me up and offer some good advice. Since I started studying at L-One, I have not only improved my TOEIC score, but I have also come to enjoy studying English more.

     I keep studying every day nowadays, even if I do not have much time, so some days I’ll study for as little as five to ten minutes. I guess it might be difficult, but it is important. I would like to get an even higher score on the TOEIC, and want to gain more confidence in my English skill so I am going to keep up my studies at L-One and at home.
