vvvvvvvvvviolin !!!!!!! By Marie
Hi, guys! How are you doing?
I have a question for you today...
Ready?
What is this?? (↓)
"This is a violin."
と、いうとってもシンプルな問題・回答でしたが、本当の問題は、Vの発音がきちんとできていたか？です。
レッスン中に何度も何度も言っているので、もう耳にタコの方もいらっしゃると思いますが、「ぶい」でなくて「ヴィ」です。 上唇と下唇がさわってしまっていたら．．． ×です。
上の前歯と下唇が触れて、その隙間から空気が出ていて、下唇が軽く振動していたら．．．それが V です。
上唇と下唇がさわった時、それは B になります。どんなに 「ぶいー」とのばしても駄目なので、よく覚えておいてくださいね 
そうでないと、very/berry, vest/best, vet/bet などの言葉を使うときに分かってもらえない．．．なんてことになってしまったりします。
それでは、鏡を見ながら練習してみてくださいね！

キラリ☆L-Oneスター Yujiroさん編
こんにちは！アドバイザーのNaomiです。（＾▽＾*）。皆様お盆休みは如何様に過ごされますか？スクールは休まず開校しておりますので英語漬けの夏を希望される方は大結集して下さい 
！
さて、今日はキラリッ☆と輝きを放つL-OneメンバーYujiroさんをご紹介します。
エルワンの卒業と同時に、この夏アメリカ語学留学に旅立たれるYujiroさんは、留学前の目標“TOEIC700UP”を見事達成されました！！！
どうして、またどんな風に努力をして来られたのでしょう。その秘密に迫ります...
N：ではいくつかインタビューさせて下さい。まず、エルワンを始められたきっかけは ？
Y：元々英語の筆記には自信があったのですが、実際に使えるようになりたくて。
N：スタート仕立ての頃はどんな感じでしたか 
？
Y：最初はクラスであまり話せませんでしたが、通っていくうちにインストラクターとの距離が気持ち的に近くなり、間違っても恥ずかしくなくなって来ました。
N：最初の受講期間が切れた後、再入学をして下さいましたね 
。
Ｙ：留学が決まっていましたが、出発までに半年もあり、力をキープしておきたかったので。
(半年間通う内）応答が早くなりました。ネイティブのノリが分かるようになったり...。
N：TOEICの目標点数も大幅アップされましたね！（500点台→705点）
週に1回以上はきちんとエルワンのグループレッスンを受講 、
レッスン後はいつも残って自習されていましたよね。
アドバイザーのYumikoさんのチェックを受けたり ... 
。
Y: 他にプライベートレッスンで「タブー」(イメージしている単語を、他の言葉で説明し当てる）を受けたり、TOEIC用には他に多読を意識して勉強していました。部活の後、大学の図書館で集中的（21時-22時）に勉強もしました。
Ｎ：ずばり！留学中の目標は ？
Ｙ：TOEIC900に挑戦したいです。韓国語も日常会話程度に覚えたり、その他は色んな人の価値観を知り、気づきを多くしてそれを日本に持ち帰りたいです。
N:では最後に、メンバーへ一言メッセージをお願いします(英語で） 。
Y： Hi, my name is Yujiro. I’m going to go to the Arizona state University in the States this August. I’m so glad that I could get 705 points in the TOEIC test because it was my aim to get 700 points before I leave Japan. I feel this is because of L-One and my effort.
When I first took the TOEIC test, I could only get 575 points. Especially, the reading part was terrible, so I decided to concentrate on the reading part.
As you may know, there are quite a few questions in the reading part. So, I think the important points are to finish every question and not to make mistakes on the easy questions. But these points are actually difficult. So, what I did to solve these problems was to read as many books and novels as I could. I recommend books that have lots of kinds of topics like education, science, politics, economics, sports and so on, and if you find words you don’t know, try to write them down and try to study them until you finish memorizing them. But after a few weeks, you will forget some of them, so try to study the words you forgot. If you relearn them again, your memory will be stronger. But try to do this after you have finished reading because the purpose of reading is to become accustomed to reading faster. You should do this, not only for reading, but also for the L-One lessons because if you don’t review, you will soon forget what you learned. If you continue this, your reading speed will rise and you’ll have more time for the reading section and therefore your reading points will also rise.
Finally, I feel that whether you can become a good speaker or not depends on your efforts at home and at L-One lessons. You can study alone in your home but you can’t practice speaking English alone. So try to study as much English as you can in your home and try to speak as much English as you can.
L-One gives us good opportunities to speak English because every teacher is so nice and funny. Even if you can’t speak well, every teacher will help you with what you want to say and the most important thing is “try to turn completely into a foreigner”.

Yujiroさんはご入学された頃と比べるとすごく明るく快活になられた印象でした。そのことを伺うと、
「英語は自らの意見を言葉で相手に伝える言語なので意識的にそうするよう努力していると、普段の生活の中でも、話の輪に入っていくなど積極的な性格になって来た」のだそうです。
語学力もさることながら、内面の成長っぷりにはスタッフも目を見張るものがありました！
