I have decorated my electronic dictionary.

Here is a picture of my work still in progress...

Look at this!! Isn't it cute!? It took me 3 days to make this.
First I thought it was easy to decorate, but it wasn't. The Deco stickers were hard to put on, and the formation of them was hard to think of. I totally underestimated the Deco stickers. However it was very fun to think of the formations of the deco stickers, so I would like to do this again with my Cell-phone. People who never used deco stickers should try it out! You may be able to discover a whole new world of the Deco-den.

一部、既にご存知の方もいらっしゃいますが、L-One栄校、新プロジェクトとしまして

『TOEIC Fighters』　というチームが発足致しましたっ！！！　ヾ(＠^∇^＠)ノ

TOEIC Fightersの活動内容は、TOEICに頻出される単語を、253個、暗記することです(o^-')b

まずは・・・・・

1. TOEIC Fighters Passportに、前回のスコア、今回の目標スコア、目標達成の為に行う3つの事を  　ご記入いただく。

2. Unit 1のVocabularyシートをお渡し、暗記していただく。

　（生徒さん用のパソコンに、ネイティブスピーカーの発音が録音されています）

3. テストを受けていただく。

4. 全問正解の場合、次Unitに進んでいただくと同時に、暗記していただいたUnitの例文を書いて、提出していただく。

以上になりますo(∂v∂)o

Unitは、計12個ございますっ！！！モリモリです！！！　ヾ(ﾟ∀≦)ъ

Hello everyone,

I hope that you are all doing well, and good luck to all of those who are studying for the TOEIC test. 

Be sure to listen to the correct pronunciation of the vocabulary which you are learning (we have recorded it for you - you can listen by using the student computer at L-One. Everyone is allowed to use it, so don't feel shy). 

Even if you are not studying for the TOEIC you might find it a useful way to work on your pronunciation.  

Another method of improving listening,　speaking, and pronunciation is called "shadowing". 

 There are a few different methods of shadowing, so I suggest that you do a little research on the internet if you think it sounds interesting

- but - basically - while listening to English (perhaps a DVD or CD) you repeat what you hear without pausing,

which means that you have to listen and speak at the same time. Some people find it very effective - let me know what you think.

Good luck in your studies, guys!!  FIGHT!!

Hey guys! My name is Edith and I’m from Montreal, Canada.

My first language is French, but when I was about 11 years old my family and I moved to Calgary,

which is next to the beautiful CanadianRocky Mountains, and we lived there for about 7 years before moving back to Montreal.

Since Calgary is an English-speaking town, I had to work hard and learn English if I wanted to make any friends.

 It was hard at first, and I hated my private English lessons (!),but after the first month, I had made a lot of friends which I only spoke English with,and I was already starting to forget my French!

And now I’m teaching English in Japan!

I came to Japan about 3 years ago to study Japanese.

My passion has always been movies, especially Asian movies.

I became really interested in Japanese entertainment when I was a teenager.

It’s all thanks to my brother.

He loved Japanese animation and when he showed me Neon Genesis Evangelion I fell in love with anime!

Then came Japanese movies, dramas, and music.

One day a DVD I had ordered arrived, and I realized there were no subtitles.

When I told my brother how disappointed I was because I couldn’t understand, he said “so? Just learn Japanese then.”

 So I started studying the language in Canada by myself, with movies and tv, then later on came to Japan to study at school.

I was supposed to go back to Canada after a year, but then I met my husband and have been here since.

 I like living in Japan; especially karaoke!

So I hope to see you in class and let’s have a lot of fun!

 本日は、メンバーさんのお一人『KAZUHITO』さんについて、ご紹介させていただきたいと思いま～す★

KAZUHITOさんは、現在、愛知県在住ですが、先日、ご実家のある北九州市に帰省され 200年続いている『戸畑祇園大山笠』というお祭りに、参加されました　(*^∇^*)

KAZUHITOさんは、中学一年生の時から神輿を担いでいらっしゃるそうですΨ(ﾟoﾟ)Ψ

神輿の重さは、約２MTということですので、かなりの負担が全身にかかりますねっ！！！　　（◎｡◎）！

担ぐ時は、自分はどうなっても良いが、神輿は落とす訳にはいかない！という強い気持ちで望まれているそうです　Σ（◎ω◎）

中には、肩が外れてしまう方や、皮膚が剥けて血が出てしまう方もいらっしゃるそうです　　　(＠□＠)ノノ

しかし、北九州市の方々は、ドンドンドンという太鼓の音を聞くと、自然と体がうずき、

いてもたってもいられなくなってしまうそうですっ！！！(☆Д☆)

『戸畑祇園大山笠』の詳細については↓↓で～す

国の重要無形民俗文化財に指定されており、博多祇園山笠、小倉祇園太鼓とともに福岡県の夏の三大祭りと称され、全国的に有名なお祭りです。
200年の歴史を誇り、昼は4体の大山笠が古式ゆかしく12本の大幟を立て、小若山笠を従えて練り歩きます。

夜になると、大幟などの装飾を取り払って、提灯309個を12段（約10m）に重ねた光のピラミッド（提灯大山笠）に姿を変えます。『ヨイトサ、ヨイトサ』のかけ声とともに進んでいく姿は圧巻！！！

祇園祭という行事は、その起源を遠く平安時代の京都にまでさかのぼります。貞観１１（８６９）年、都に疫病が流行した折、人々は、その原因が疫神や怨霊の仕業に違いないと信じ、この平癒を神に祈願したのが事の起こりで、御神幸行事の一つです。

　戸畑の祇園は､江戸時代後期に始まりました。
飛幡八幡宮記録によれば、享和２年､戸畑村に疫病が蔓延し、村人が非常に苦しんでいましたので、ご祭神･須賀大神に平癒祈願をおこなったところ、ようやく終息しました。そこで、享和３年(１８０３年)７月、お礼に山笠をつくり神社に奉納したとあります。
　須賀大神が、旧戸畑村の八幡神社と菅原神社、旧中原村の中原八幡宮に祭られていた関係で、現在４体の山笠が伝統を守っています。

お祭りは、日本の伝統行事！！！日本そのものを映し出していると言っても過言ではないですよね！！！

さて、ここで・・・・・『神輿』について外国人の方に説明したい時、何と言えば良いのでしょう？？？

文化的な事なので、説明が難しいですね・・・・例えば・・・・

A　mikoshi　(神輿,mikoshi^?)is a portable　Shinto shrine.

Shinto followers believe that itserves as the vehicle of a divine　spirit　in　Japan　at the time of a parade of deities.

Often,the　mikoshi　resembles a miniature building, with pillars, walls, a roof, a veranda and arailing.

Typical shapes are rectangles, hexagons, and octagons.

 The body, whichstands on two or four poles (for carrying), is usually lavishly decorated, and the roofmight hold a carving of a　Phoenix.

During a　matsuri, or Japanese festival, people bear a　mikoshi　on their shoulders bymeans of the two or four poles.

They bring the　mikoshi　from the shrine, carry it aroundthe neighborhoods that worship at the shrine,

 and in many cases leave it in adesignated area, resting on blocks, for a time before returning it to the shrine.

Someshrines have the custom of dipping the　mikoshi　in the water of a nearby lake, river orocean.

At certain festivals, the people who bear the　mikoshi　wave it wildly from side toside,

and from time to time,deaths　occur when a　mikoshi　strikes a bystander orparticipant.

A　mikoshi　was believed to have been first used to transport　Hachiman　to　Tōdai-ji　templefrom Usa Jingu in 749.
