Edith先生は、カナダの出身で、なんとカラオケが大好きだそうです！！！

昔は、週に一回行っていたとか！！！　w(ﾟoﾟ)w

カラオケでは、浜崎あゆみを歌われるそうです！！！　(･∀･)

Hey guys! My name is Edith and I’m from Montreal, Canada.

 

 

My first language is French, but when I was about 11 years old my family and I moved to Calgary,

 

 

which is next to the beautiful CanadianRocky Mountains, and we lived there for about 7 years before moving back to Montreal.

 

 

Since Calgary is an English-speaking town, I had to work hard and learn English if I wanted to make any friends.

 

 

 It was hard at first, and I hated my private English lessons (!),but after the first month, I had made a lot of friends which I only spoke English with,and I was already starting to forget my French!

 

 

And now I’m teaching English in Japan!

 

 

I came to Japan about 3 years ago to study Japanese.

 

 

My passion has always been movies, especially Asian movies.

 

 

I became really interested in Japanese entertainment when I was a teenager.

 

 

It’s all thanks to my brother.

 

 

He loved Japanese animation and when he showed me Neon Genesis Evangelion I fell in love with anime!

 

 

Then came Japanese movies, dramas, and music.

 

 

One day a DVD I had ordered arrived, and I realized there were no subtitles.

 

 

When I told my brother how disappointed I was because I couldn’t understand, he said “so? Just learn Japanese then.”

 

 

 So I started studying the language in Canada by myself, with movies and tv, then later on came to Japan to study at school.

 

 

I was supposed to go back to Canada after a year, but then I met my husband and have been here since.

 

 

 I like living in Japan; especially karaoke!

 

 

So I hope to see you in class and let’s have a lot of fun!

Edith先生初めまして！アドバイザーの方々や他の先生方もおひさしぶりです！！Ｌ－Ｏｎｅ栄校を先月卒業したyujiroです。
アメリカのＡＳＵ（Arizona State University)という大学に入学して約一ヶ月経ちました。アメリカには日本に興味のある人達が結構いて友達もできやすいので日本人に生まれてラッキーだったなって思います（笑）日本のアニメやコミックとかはアメリカでも
よく見かけますね。
またＬ－ｏｎｅに顔を出すのでよろしくお願いします（笑）

Hey Yujiro, thanks for the comment! Me too I think you were very lucky to be born Japanese! (^_^) Japan is a wonderful country and you will see in your numerous adventures that it is a thought shared all over the world (outside of China, maybe. hehe) I hope you're having a blast in America and you can realize all your crazy dreams! How's your English?

そうですね。日本のことを色々調べて説明できるようにしておくといいと思います！こっちにきてほんとに英会話で勉強しといてよかったなって思います。日常会話ができないとどうしても日本人とばかりつるんでしまって英語を喋れなく、伸びないっていう悪循環に陥ってしまうと思います。実際そういう人達をよく見かけます。そうならないためにもどれだけ準備したかってのが大事だと思います。友達もいっぱいできて週末にはアメリカの友達たちと遊びにいったりしてます＾＾韓国の方は・・・ちょっと無理です（笑）ただ韓国語は友達に色々聞いたり何気に勉強してます！

Hi, Laurent!I feel classes in the university are excelent, so my English has improved a little, but not much. I realized again that there is no shortcut to the mastery of English but to just continue studying! But, I will surely master English!! I'm looking forward to seeing you again and let me talk about my experience!!

心配ありがとうございます＾＾☆ほんと留学したら確かに伸びますけど、どんだけ伸びるかは自分の努力次第だっていうのは間違いないと思うのであんまり余裕を持ちすぎないように適度な焦りをもってこれからも頑張って行きます！！仕事も、、決めないとなんでまた話も聞かせてください☆で、帰国後TOEIC勝負です（笑）
