さてさて、先日、こちら↓のサンタさんが、Mr.SAMURAIに変身されたそうですっ！！！(☆｡☆)

華麗な大変身ぶりを、ご覧くださいマセマセ～ヽ(*^▽^*)ノ

Am I REAL samurai? Well, no.But I was able to look like one recently! 

A few weeks ago  my wife and I decided to take a trip to Osaka. We wanted to see Universal Studios Japan. It was very exciting! We saw many Christmas decorations, lights and a BIG Christmas tree. Of course we also saw Elmo, Santa, Hello Kitty and many other fun characters.  We also went on many attractions such as E.T., Backdraft and Spiderman (which was SO FUN!).

The next day, we wanted to see Osaka so we went to Osaka Castle. It is very large with an amazing moat around it. We went inside and went to the top to look around. I thought it was very interesting and I learned a lot about Japanese history and culture.

After we finished looking around the castle we decided to eat takoyaki. It is the most famous food in Osaka and very delicious. They are in the shape of balls with small pieces of octopus in them. We really enjoyed eating them beside the castle.

After we finished eating takoyaki, I saw a small machine near us. “That is a very interesting machine” my wife said. “It can make you look like a samurai”. “Wow!” I said, “Let’s try it!”. So, I took my jacket off and sat in the machine. I didn’t put on any costumes or anything, just my usual clothes. Within a few minutes, out came a picture of me looking like Sasaki Kojiro!

My wife laughed and laughed. “You look so silly!”. She said. “I don’t think I like you as a samurai!”. I laughed too. “I agree” I said. “I think I like being just Robert instead.”

We put the picture in our bag and went home to Nagoya. We were very happy about our trip.

最近急に寒くなってきましたね。　私も見事に風邪をひいてしまいました・・・・・（涙）

皆さんも体調を崩さないよう気をつけて下さいね♪♪

さて、今年もクリスマスが近づいてきました！！！

今回は、いつも愉快なＲｏｂｅｒｔ先生にクリスマスについて語って頂きました！！！

What Christmas Means To Me

I love Nagoya at Christmas. Sakae has so many beautiful decorations and lights on the streets and in the trees. Nagoya Station is has a VERY big Christmas display with many people taking pictures with their mobile phone cameras every night. It feels like Christmas. Well… kind of.

Christmas in many countries is the MOST important time of year. Yes, it is because there are many Christians in other countries (and Christmas started as the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ), BUT in recent years the most important part of Christmas is being with your family.

My family is Italian-Canadian so Christmas has always been the most special time of year. Christmas Day (December 25) is a holiday so everyone is very happy. My mother and father spend a lot of time and effort to make the most beautiful dinner they can. They make turkey, ham, potatoes, vegetables and even spaghetti (sometime’s lasagna!). Later in the evening, all the members of my family to my parents house and we have a great time talking… and eating. We just eat, and EAT, AND EAT! We eat so much we almost feel like we can’t move from our chairs when we are finished. BUT… then my mother brings out a very special dessert like pudding or cake and suddenly everyone starts to eat AGAIN. We feel like we want to EXPLODE when we are finished… but everyone is VERY happy.

My wife and I won’t be able to be with my family in Canada this year, which is very sad… BUT we plan to have a BIG Christmas dinner here in Japan with her family. Maybe even a BIG TURKEY! Now, we just need to find an oven big enough to cook it!

Ｙ：ＨＩＲＯＫＩさん、再入学された理由は何ですか？？

Ｈ：英語が好きだということ、そして更に自分を磨くためです。

Ｙ：ＨＩＲＯＫＩさんの目標は何ですか？？

Ｈ：海外で通用するグラフィックデザイナーになることです。その為に英語を勉強しています。

Ｙ：Ｌ－Ｏｎｅの好きなところは？？

Ｈ：みんながＦｒｉｅｎｄｌｙなところです。また、先生、アドバイザーがやさしく、時には厳しく接してくれることです。

Ｙ：L-Oｎｅのみんなにメッセージをお願いします！！

Ｈ：英語でプレゼンができるようにこれからも頑張ります。皆さんも目標を持って頑張って下さい。

I remember I was so glad when Naomi told me that Hiroki had renewed his contract!

Hiroki is a model of perseverance for all other students and I would like more people to be like him.

Through mistakes and countless repetitions, he's never given up - quite the opposite! - always ready to try again and to study hard until he understands.

More than a student, Hiroki has also been a friend from time to time, both to the advisors and ourselves the teachers... this man is not just a great student; he happens to also be a great cook!

As a respect to his motivation, all staff here at L-One will do his best to help Hiroki achieve his dreams!

Everybody; if you ever feel down think about Hiroki and his message: Stick to your dreams and never give up!
